Vas is an experienced attorney who represents clients in the areas of municipal law, labor and employment, environmental law, land use, and real estate. He received his undergraduate degree from Tulane University and his law degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law. Vas joined DTC in 2022 after practicing in Louisiana and Texas for more than fifteen years.
Prior to returning to private practice, he served as Staff Attorney in the Enforcement Division of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, where he represented the Commission at contested case hearings involving state environmental laws and regulations. Before that, he served as Legal Counsel in the Louisiana Governor’s Office of Coastal Activities, where he provided advice and counsel regarding Louisiana’s Comprehensive Master Plan for a Sustainable Coast and assisted Louisiana’s RESTORE Council representative in securing multi-million dollar RESTORE Act oil spill grants.
In addition to his government service, Vas practiced employment litigation in some of the most respected labor and employment firms in Louisiana and Texas. Prior to that, he taught classical Greek and Latin at Jesuit High School, New Orleans. Vas combines his unique background and experience to zealously represent his clients.
