Bob was born in West Hartford, Connecticut. He was admitted to the bar of the State ofConnecticut in 1987, and the bar of the State of New Hampshire in 1993. He is admitted to the U.S. Federal District Court Bar as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in Boston, Massachusetts. He is also a former member of the bar of the Province of Nova Scotia, Canada. He received his B.A. from McGill University, his J.D., with honors, from the University of Connecticut, and an LL.M. from Queen's University. He is a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association.

Bob became a Partner with the Firm in January 2005. He has focused his practice on appellate advocacy, insurance, employment, and municipal law. Bob lives in the Town of Exeter and is a former member of the Exeter School Board.
