Attorney Courtney Pasay Vaughan is Of Counsel at the firm and is admitted to practice in Massachusetts. Her work spans a variety of practice areas, including property litigation, residential real estate, title and conveyancing, contracting, estate planning, and mediation. She has experience supporting clients and attorneys in both firm and court settings, with a focus on legal research, document drafting, and case management.
Before joining the firm, Courtney practiced healthcare regulatory and compliance law with a Boston-based public policy law group. She also spent several years at Tufts Medicine, Inc., in various legal and regulatory roles at both the corporate offices and Lowell General Hospital’s Physician Hospital Organization.
Earlier in her career, Courtney worked as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Judges of the Worcester Probate and Family Court, helping draft decisions, orders, and research memoranda on complex family law matters. She also gained experience at Smolak & Vaughan, LLP, where she supported legal work in various practice areas. Courtney completed negotiation and mediation training through Harvard Law School’s Program on Negotiation, the Resolution Center in Beverly, MA.
Courtney’s professional background also includes public and private sector roles with the White House Liaison Office, the U.S. Department of Energy, Potomac Communications Group, Parsons Engineering Corporation International, and the Beacon Group.
Originally from Clearwater, Florida, Courtney earned her B.A. from the University of New Hampshire and her J.D. from the Massachusetts School of Law. She also holds a Mediation Certification from the Community Dispute Settlement Center and completed the Leadership Forum at The Washington Center.
In her free time, Courtney enjoys spending time with her family, running with her dog, and being outdoors.
