Courtney Pasay Vaughan

Attorney Courtney Pasay Vaughan is Of Counsel at the firm and is admitted to practice in Massachusetts. Her work spans a variety of practice areas including property litigation, residential real estate, title and conveyancing, family law, estate planning, and mediation. She has experience supporting clients and attorneys in both firm and court settings, with a focus on legal research, document drafting, and case management.

Before joining the firm, Courtney served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Judges of the Worcester Probate and Family Court, where she assisted with drafting decisions, orders, and research memoranda in complex family law matters. She also worked at Smolak & Vaughan, LLP, providing legal support across multiple practice areas. Earlier in her career, she served as a Social Security Case Manager and legal researcher at Rainer and O’Connor, LLP, and completed mediation training through the Community Dispute Settlement Center in Cambridge.

Courtney’s professional background also includes public and private sector roles with the White House Liaison Office, the U.S. Department of Energy, Potomac Communications Group, Parsons Engineering Corporation International, and the Beacon Group.

Originally from Clearwater, Florida, Courtney earned her B.A. from the University of New Hampshire and her J.D. from the Massachusetts School of Law. She also holds a Mediation Certification from the Community Dispute Settlement Center and completed the Leadership Forum at The Washington Center.

Attorney Pasay Vaughan is a member of the Massachusetts Women’s Bar Association, the Massachusetts Women’s Bar Foundation, the American Constitutional Society, and the Federalist Society. She also volunteers with the Women’s Bar Foundation’s Family Law Project and is a two-time recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Advanced Appellate Advocacy and Professional Responsibility.
