DTC Lawyers Attend Rockingham County Bar Event

On March 27th, members and non-members of the Rockingham County Bar Association gathered at the Page in Portsmouth for their Spring Social Event.  DTC Attorneys in attendance were Jessica Ecker, Chris Hilson, Bob Derosier, and Rob Ciandella.

This year, the social event was a “trivia night” and attendees competed in small teams, answering New Hampshire themed trivia.  Rob Ciandella lead his team to victory by showcasing his New Hampshire knowledge with assistance from teammates Tom Watson and Jim Noucas.

Denise Poulos, Jessica Ecker and Lisa Hayes volunteered much of their Sunday at the third annual St. Paddy’s 5-Miler road race held at Paddy’s in Pease on March 11th.  Keriann Roman, also pictured, is a member of the race committee.  All of the race profits benefitted “New Heights – Adventures for Teens” located at the Community Campus in Portsmouth.  DTC was also a sponsor of the race.  For more information on “New Heights – Adventures for Teen” please visit their website www.newheightsonline.org

Attorney Jessica Ecker Honored by New Hampshire Bar Association as a Pro Bono ‘Rising Star’

Attorney Ecker, who has been an Associate with Donahue, Tucker & Ciandella since 2006 has been chosen by the New Hampshire Bar Association as one of 2012’s Pro Bono Rising Stars, and was honored at the Bar Association’s Midyear Meeting on March 7th.  Attorney Ecker is one of only three young attorneys in the state chosen for this honor.  These awards are presented to attorneys who are relatively new to the practice of law who have made commitments and demonstrated early excellence in Pro Bono representation and service.  For more information on the Pro Bono Rising Star award recipients, as well as other service awards to be presented at the Midyear Meeting, click here:  http://nhbar.org/about-the-bar/ProBonoAwards.asp

Attorney Ciandella Appointed to Telecommunications Planning and Development Advisory Committee

Attorney Rob Ciandella has been reappointed by the Governor and Executive Council to another term on the Telecommunications Planning and Development Advisory Committee.  The Committee was established by New Hampshire Legislature at RSA 12-A:46 to work with the private and public sectors to promote development of the telecommunications infrastructure of the State.

Attorney Jessica Ecker Attends New Hampshire Association for Justice’s Annual Family Law Forum

On February 17, 2012, Attorney Ecker attended NHAJ’s Annual Family Law Forum in Bedford, New Hampshire.  This conference is one of the of the most widely attended continuing legal education conferences in New Hampshire, and Attorney Ecker tries to attend this seminar annually  in order to bolster her foundation of legal knowledge on family law topics.  Each year this seminar invites several marital masters or judges to attend to provide a “View from the Bench” with their insight on various topics, and opening up to questions from attendees.  This year, Masters Robert Foley, Michael Garner, Nancy Geiger, and Jennifer Lemire provided the attendees with their perspective.  Topics this year included: The Guardian ad Litem Process and Recent Developments In the Law, Marital Estate Division and Valuation, Child Support Enforcement, Relocations and Other Parenting Plan Modifications, Collaborative Law and Mediation, and Domestic Violence Petitions.  If you have any questions about these or any other family law topics, contact Attorney Ecker.

The Meeting Place Begins Construction on Phase 2

DTC is pleased to have worked with Felder Kuehl Properties, LLC, 6 Meeting Place Drive Exeter Limited Partnership, NH Housing Finance Authority, TD Bank, N.A., Community Development Finance Authority (Rockingham County) and the Town of Exeter to facilitate the land use permitting and financing for the construction of Phase II of The Meeting Place project on Epping Road in Exeter, NH.  Phase II  consists of 26 units of low income elderly and handicapped housing.  Construction is expected to be complete by Summer 2012.

Attorney Chris Boldt to Speak at NHBA CLE on the Revised Real Estate Title Standards
