Following the March 2014 Town Meeting, Attorney Chris Boldt was appointed by the Sandwich Board of Selectmen to serve as an alternate to the Board of Trustees of the Samuel H. Attorneys Chris Boldt and Kate Miller to Speak at OEP Spring Planning and Zoning Conference
Two attorneys from DTC will be making presentations at the 2014 Annual Spring Planning and Zoning Conference of the NH Office of Energy and Planning, scheduled for Saturday, May 3 at the Mountain View Grand Resort, in Whitefield, NH. Attorney Chris Boldt has once again been asked to speak at a double session on the basic procedures ZBA members should use in making their various decisions on variances, special exceptions, appeals of administrative decisions and waivers of dimensional criteria. Chris will also participate in the Conference’s ZBA/Planning Board Role Playing training session. Attorney Kate Miller will speak on recent changes to federal and state law on the approval process for personal wireless services facilities. DTC Supports “End 68 Hours of Hunger”
DTC has partnered with the Exeter Area Lions Club to support “End 68 Hours of Hunger”. End 68 Hours of Hunger is a volunteer, private, non-profit organization which assists school age children who participate in the free lunch program to provide food for their homes. The Exeter Area School District covering the towns of Exeter, Brentwood, East Kingston, Kensington, Newfields and Stratham is currently helping more than 100 students and the list continues to grow. DTC Supports NH Food Bank
Did you know: 1 in 9 individuals in NH is food insecure and 40,400 children in NH are food insecure.
As the only food bank in the state, the New Hampshire Food Bank is a vital distributor and supplier to the hunger relief agencies that serve meals and provide groceries to people experiencing the negative impacts of not having enough to eat. On average these agencies receive 40% of their food from the NH Food Bank.
In 2013, the Food Bank distributed over 8.5 million pounds of non-perishable food items, fresh produce, and meats to over 400 non-profit food agencies in all corners of NH.

Attorney Miller Becomes Member of DTC
Donahue, Tucker & Ciandella, PLLC, is pleased to announce that Katherine B. Miller has become a member of the firm. Kate came to DTC after practicing in California, serving as Counsel to Senator Patrick Leahy on the Judiciary Committee of the U.S. Senate, and clerking for the Chief Justice of the Vermont Supreme Court. As a partner at DTC, Kate will continue to advise our municipal, not-for-profit and individual clients, in matters including estate planning, trust and estate administration, telecommunications law and creating and maintaining tax exempt status for organizations. Kate is a graduate of Brown University and Northeastern University School of Law.

Pie Auction Brings in the Dough
Attorney Chris Boldt recently served as Auctioneer for the 6th Annual Harvest Dinner and Pie Auction at St. Andrew’s-in-the-Valley Episcopal Church in Tamworth. The event raised over $1,800 for the Church’s local outreach missions, including the Community Food Center, CASA and other worthy projects. The attached photo shows Chris in action at this popular Holiday tradition.
Chris & Carolyn Boldt Perform with Sandwich Singers
Attorney Chris Boldt and his wife Carolyn will perform again with the Sandwich Singers at two Christmas concerts this year: Sunday December 15 at the Methodist Meeting House in Center Sandwich and Wednesday December 18 at the Tamworth Congregational Church. Both concerts will be at 7:30 p.m. and are free, though contributions are gratefully accepted.
The Singers are directed this year by Peggy Johnson, who has been doing so for the past thirteen years. The group has existed primarily for Christmas music for well over thirty years, since being formed by local legend, Bob Bates. This year’s program includes music from American and European traditions, and a commissioned piece created by award winning Plymouth State University Music Department Director Jonathan Santore and his Advanced Music Composition students, Eben Brown, Hannah Cambers, Brad Dumont and Kyle Quirion. This Commission was funded by the Yeoman’s Fund for the Arts.

DTC Welcomes Attorney Patrick Collins
DTC is pleased to welcome Attorney Patrick O. Collins as an Associate with the Firm. Patrick graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy and graduated from Connecticut College cum laude and from Albany Law School magna cum laude. While at Albany Law School he successfully completed a concentration in the field of estate planning and was elected a member of the Justinian Society for excellence in legal scholarship. Patrick works predominately in the Estate Planning and Probate practice groups, while also assisting the firm’s Business, Land Use, Litigation and Real Estate clients.
