Heidi J. Barrett-Kitchen

Heidi brings a unique blend of experience to her practice, with a background in federal and local law enforcement, investigation and immigration. In addition to over 30 years of experience in the legal sector, Heidi has owned her own business and understands the challenges of operating a business in New Hampshire.  She concentrates in the areas of commercial and residential real estate conveyances and loan transactions, title insurance, land development, condominium law, business formations, acquisitions and transactions, business succession planning, estate planning, and probate administration.  As your advisor, Heidi will listen and work with you to bring about solutions to assist you with your goals.

Heidi has successfully assisted many of her business clients with mergers, consolidations and spin-offs, as well as matters including stock and asset purchase agreements, sale of business assets and the start-up and winding down of businesses.  She has also helped guide clients through the complicated registration process with the New Hampshire Attorney General for a large variety of real estate developments.

Heidi grew up in Acton, Massachusetts.  She received her B.S. degree with highest honor from Northeastern University College of Criminal Justice (1981) and her J.D. degree from Northeastern University School of Law (1984).  She is a member of the New Hampshire, Massachusetts and American Bar Associations, New Hampshire Estate Planning Council; the New Hampshire Bar Association Real Property and Estate Planning Sections and the Massachusetts Conveyancers Association.

Heidi is Chair of the New Hampshire Title Standards Committee, Member of the Meredith Rotary Club, Chair of the Scholarship Committee and Chair of the 2020 Greater Meredith Rotary Fishing Derby, and proud to serve on the Meredith Sculpture Walk Committee.  Heidi has hiked all of the 48 highest peaks in New Hampshire and is a sectional hiker of the Appalachian Trail.
