Attorney Chris Boldt to Speak at Northern New England Planning Conference

Attorney Chris Boldt has been asked to participate in a panel discussion on the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent decision in Koontz v. St. John’s River Water Management District. This decision addresses certain constitutional challenges to conditions of approval for the land use permits involved in the case.  The Conference is scheduled for Thursday and Friday, September 19th and 20th at Church’s Landing in Meredith, NH.; and this panel discussion is slated for the Friday luncheon starting at 12:15 p.m.  For more information and on-line registration, please go to  http://www.nnecapa.org.

DTC Donates to K-Ready Kids

K-Ready Kids is in its second year running. DTC has made its donation to help keep this program strong and continuing throughout the years.

K-Ready Kids is a program run by The United Way of the Greater Seacoast. Local companies participated in a drive to collect and/or purchase literacy items including books, scissors, crayons and other supplies to stuff back packs for children going into kindergarten in September. Over 45 child care centers received backpacks to prepare the children and parents entering kindergarten.

DTC Honored by Workforce Housing Coalition

DTC was recognized as a “Community Builder” by the Workforce Housing Coalition of the Greater Seacoast.

The honor recognizes local businesses that go above and beyond to support the agency’s mission and the development of work-force housing in the greater Seacoast region. Since the firm was formed in 1985, DTC lawyers have had a involvement with the New Hampshire communities where they represent individual clients and developers, and multiple municipalities throughout the state.

DTC to Participate in Exeter Area Lions Club Walkathon to Benefit Steve Shope

DTC team members will be participating in the Exeter Area Lions Club Walkathon on Thursday, August 22, 2013 to benefit the Steve Shope Trail to Recovery Fund. Steve Shope is a Newfields, NH resident, local small-business owner, volunteer firefighter, town official and mountain biking enthusiast. Steve was hurt on April 26th while mountain biking, incurring a severe injury to his cervical vertebrae and spinal cord. Family, friends, and the local community have rallied in support of the Shope family, including the formation of the Trail to Recovery fund. All proceeds from the Walkathon will be going to the Steve Shope Trail to Recovery Fund to help Steve and his family with the expenses related to making his home handicap accessible and ongoing care. Shakespeare Returns to the White Mountains

Attorney Chris Boldt will play “King Eddie”, in Advice to the Players’ comical production of the melodrama The Bunch-backed Toad based Shakespeare’s immortal classic Richard the Third. This performance will be part of an evening of Shakespearean delight called “Midsummer Mirth: A Shakespeare Comedy Cabaret,” which will take place at 7:30 p.m. at the Sandwich Town Hall on July 26th and 27th and August 2nd and 3rd. Additionally, Chris’ wife, Carolyn, will return to her role as Costumier to the Company’s production of Much Ado About Nothing, which will take the stage at the Sandwich Fair Grounds outdoor theatre at 2 p.m. on August 9th to 11th and 15th to 18th, with one show at Sandwich Town Hall at 7:30 p.m. on August 13th. Holy Smokes! Chris Boldt Brings his BBQ Talents to Bear for Fundraiser

Attorney Chris Boldt brings his barbecue talents to bear for a fundraiser for St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Tamworth, NH on July 26th at 6:30 p.m. The Church is putting on a Backyard Barbecue Bash featuring Chris’ slow smoked pulled pork coupled with baked beans, coleslaw, pasta salad and dessert. Music is provided by the Caravan Band, a local Folk and Celtic Music group. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for children under 16 and are available through the Church located at 678 Whittier Hwy (old Route 25) in Tamworth or by calling 603-986-0232. Half of all proceeds will go to other local, regional and international charities, including Tamworth Caregivers, the NH Community Loan Fund, and Episcopal Relief and Development.

 

 

Jessica Ecker Volunteers for Seacoast Kiwanis at Strawberry Festival
