Attorney Kate Miller, Northeastern University School of Law, class of 1987, joined other New Hampshire alumni on May 28, 2013, at a reception in Bedford for New Hampshire Governor Maggie Hassen, class of 1985.
There was an excellent turn-out. The Governor spoke about the uniquely New Hampshire process of law making, with such a large citizen legislature and, by and large, a high degree of collegiality. Kate served as the first chair of the Northeastern University School of Law Regional Alumni Association in New Hampshire, which has grown from a small number to dozens of alums in recent years.
Attorney Ecker Ends Her Term as President of the Rockingham County Bar Association
After a busy term this past 2012-2013 year, Attorney Ecker has stepped back into the role of Immediate Past President and plans to continue involvement with this great organization.
Over the last year of her term, she helped to plan the Fall social event and CLE video replay on October 16, 2012, which was held at the Rusty Hammer in Portsmouth. She also worked on a spring event entitled, “Farewell to Winter and Hello to New Lawyers” on March 20th of this year at the Thirsty Moose in Portsmouth. The event, which was free to attorneys admitted in the past 3 years, was intended to draw in some of the younger crowd of lawyers in the County. The year culminated in the planning and hosting of the RCBA’s first ever clambake held at Foster’s Clambake in York, Maine.
Attorney Ecker is grateful for the assistance of the board members of the RCBA who were also motivated to have an active and event-filled year for attorneys who live or practice in Rockingham County. Being involved with the RCBA over the past six years has been a great experience, and Attorney Ecker has met and gotten to know many attorneys from all corners of the county, which she has found an invaluable part of the experience.

Attorney Ecker makes an effort to attend this Forum annually, which is widely attended by family law attorneys from across the State. This Forum is particularly educational for family law practitioners because of the Marital Master panel put together by NHAJ.
